A natural and protected area of 1,200 hectares between the Rhône delta and the Crau plain, 20 km from Arles and 80 km from Marseille, the Vigueirat Marshes nature reserve is one of the largest properties of the Conservatoire du littoral in the Camargue.

An exceptional natural heritage

The site is made up of a mosaic of natural wetlands, marshes, ponds, reedbeds…

These landscapes are home to more than 3,500 animal and plant species, including 300 species of birds (herons, ducks, raptors, flamingos, etc.), many mammals (foxes, wild boars), and five Camargue bull and horse farms.

Our discovery offers

In groups, the site can be discovered in many ways : by carriage to the rhythm of draft horses, on horseback in the marsh, with a naturalist guide in the heart of the reserve, or by foot on one of our walking trails.

Motivated by our desire to transmit, we also offer environmental education and awareness activities: workshops, conferences, training on multiple themes: biodiversity, ecotourism, sustainable development, CSR…

Seminars and business days

For your events, the Vigueirat Marshes has several original and atypical reception rooms :

  • the Etourneau room, a former stable converted into a meeting room (up to 40 people)
  • the Ligagneau room, an agricultural shed converted into a vast multi-modal reception area (up to 200 people)
  • an exhibition hall for the reception of cultural and artistic works.

The site has several shaded picnic areas and outdoor spaces allowing the realization of multiple activities such as a nature rally, a treasure hunt or an escape game.

We can organize your meals on site, country picnic or traditional menu, homemade snacks and snacks, made with local and seasonal products, favoring short circuits and organic farming.

Our CSR approach

Corporate social and environmental responsibility has been at the heart of our concerns for more than 20 years.

Our buildings and reception infrastructures are eco-responsible and eco-constructed, making it possible to limit the carbon footprint of our reception activities on the site.

We also conduct a policy of social and professional inclusion through the management of two workshops and integration sites, which are responsible for the maintenance of our public reception facilities.

The site is accessible by bike from Arles via the ViaRhôna cycle path, and benefits from the Accueil Vélo and Valeurs Parc naturel régional de Camargue labels.
