The tourism sector as a whole represents \u20ac20 billion in revenue, over 140,000 jobs \u2014 7.5% jobs in the region \u2014 and 25,000 establishments in sectors related to tourism. To maintain our appeal, the Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur Region is focusing actions around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maregionsud.fr\/la-region-en-action\/entreprise-innovation-tourisme\/tourisme\">3 themes:<\/a><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Revitalising our destinations\u2019 appeal;<\/li>\n<li>Reinforcing the competitiveness of our tourist offer and businesses;<\/li>\n<li>Innovating and satisfying the challenges of tomorrow.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>As a competence and expertise cluster, LINKEUS Provence Alpes C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur Convention Bureau\u2019s actions contribute to maintaining high-level service and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkeus.fr\/en\/our-missions\/\">stimulating the business tourism sector\u2019s dynamism.<\/a> This farsighted strategy is grounded in an ambitious programm aiming to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enable territories and destinations to target excellence in the area of hosting major events;<\/li>\n<li>Accelerate the development of professionals in the events sector;<\/li>\n<li>Adopt strategies for flexible proactive management of all risks affecting the events sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1598449930189{padding-top: 30px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;]<h2 style=\"font-weight:normal;text-align:left;\" class=\"headline margin-top-15 margin-bottom-35 headline-box    headline-aligned-to-left  headline-with-subtitle  \"><span>Hosting major events linked to areas of excellence<\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;couleurgrise&#8221;]As major assets for our Region\u2019s economic development, economic events create strong leverage to boost the territory\u2019s appeal. The events sector is a powerful tool for economic development and, in addition to maintaining high levels of growth and jobs, contributes to enhancing the economic and scientific fabric, improving the tourist destination\u2019s visibility and international renown, and developing innovation and creativity.<\/p>\n<p>Hosting major high-potential economic events in the territory is part of the Regional Economic Development plan (SRDEII) and in the Tourism Economic Development plan (SRDT) adopted on 17 March 2017.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2018, the better to attract and host major economic events in this highly competitive market, LINKEUS Provence Alpes C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur Convention Bureau launched a Major\u2019 Events Unit with support from the Region and its partners.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;17503&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_shadow&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;17599&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_shadow&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;]<h3 style=\"font-weight:normal;text-align:left;\" class=\"headline margin-top-15 margin-bottom-35 headline-box    headline-aligned-to-left  headline-with-subtitle  \"><span>Accelerating the development of professionals in the events sector<\/span><\/h3>[vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;couleurgrise&#8221;]With the prospect of maintaining top-level service and adapting to our clientele\u2019s new expectations, LINKEUS Provence Alpes C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur is investing in innovative operational solutions to support the commercial development of businesses in the Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur Region. As such, LINKEUS Provence Alpes C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur Convention Bureau is a Regional digital MICE Marketplace platform for commercial and interprofessional interactions to enhance for highlighting regional actors \u2014 LINKEUS members \u2014 in the events sector on a national scale. It\u00a0 launched in the fourth quarter of 2020.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1600178735255{background-color: rgba(232,232,232,0.24) !important;*background-color: rgb(232,232,232) !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;couleurgrise&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This platform aims to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote the business tourism offer for establishments in the Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur Region and the Region\u2019s three strong brands, with B2B event organisers to generate business flow in the current crisis situation due to COVID-19 affecting our sector;<\/li>\n<li>Rapidly gain market shares for our regional businesses;<\/li>\n<li>Support LINKEUS members in developing their MICE activity, in particular by providing innovative digital solution;<\/li>\n<li>Improving demand by investing in effective national marketing campaigns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In response to the challenges facing actors in the events sector, LINKEUS set up a 360\u00b0 platform for innovating events, with the vocation of promoting the emergence of new practices and innovative approaches to respond to the needs of actors in the events sector (professional, cultural and sporting) and territories.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This platform offers 360\u00b0 services in four 4 clusters:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Careers &amp; learning \u2014 initial and continuing training;<\/li>\n<li>Incubation \u2014 Support for innovative enterprises;<\/li>\n<li>Research \u2014 International chair for research on risk management in the tourism and events sectors &#8211; CIRTE;<\/li>\n<li>Resources \u2014 prospective studies and networking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;]<h2 style=\"font-weight:normal;text-align:left;\" class=\"headline margin-top-15 margin-bottom-35 headline-box    headline-aligned-to-left  headline-with-subtitle  \"><span>Facilitating the transition towards practices for environmental conservation<\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text]<span style=\"color: #808080;\">With 35 exceptional sites (natural reserves, parks, sea floors, etc.), the Provence-Alps-C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur Region offers a wealth of natural sites unique in France. Provence-C\u00f4te D\u2019azur Events members \u2014 hosts, resorts, destinations, agencies, transporters, events venues \u2014 display their commitment in the area of Sustainable Development. There are many labels, charters and certifications: Green Globe, GEO\u00a9, High Environmental Value, Natur\u2019Act, Green Engage, Tourism Quality brand, European EcoLabel, ISO, etc.<br \/>\nC\u00f4t\u00e9 Sud, hosts, restaurateurs and caterers prefer short, organic circuits for buffets thanks to sustainable caf\u00e9s, without omitting corporate solidarity actions.
